Maarten Perera has always had a paintbrush, some paint and let's face it anything he can get his hands on to portray his artistic expression.

He shows us what he sees (if you know Maarten that can be a little scary at first), but his creativity holds no boundaries.

Being a visible minority Maarten offers us not only a glimpse of what life means to him, what being Canadian means to him, but especially what being part of this planet means to him.

He truly believes that everyone should have the fundamental needs we require to exist - Food, Clothing and Shelter.....and let's not forgot the right to be heard!
