Kathy Brandon

Kathy has always enjoyed the interplay of line, form and colour while creating functional crafts. However, a silversmithing class several years ago really ignited Kathy's creative energy. Since that first class, Kathy has continued to study her craft and learn from the creative process. Kathy experiences the process of creating jewellery captivating, wonderfully frustrating at times and always energizing.

Kathy's studio name, Akasha Jewellery Designs reflects her reverence for and connection to the elements and their essential energy. Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning ether and is said to infuse earth, air, water and fire with energy.

I hope to see you at the Gabriola Arts Council Saturday Tent Sale on July 17th, at Street Art on August 21st and 22nd, and at the Studio Tour over the Thanksgiving Weekend!!
